CASE STUDY Activity 13 Report Structure and Sources of Information Karla Zanetti manages a suburban retail store which sells a small but select range of scrapbooking supplies - albums , page inserts , papers , tools , labels , stickers , journals . The store is located in a block of shops in a busy shopping precinct . Road traffic is very busy especially in peak times and nearby parking is inadequate . Business has taken a turn for the worse , due mainly to a large chain competitor opening in the next suburb , a short drive away . The competitor is able to sell a much wider range of products at lower prices because of the higher turnover . And , adjacent to the store , ample covered parking is available . Karla has had many years ' experience in the scrapbooking and retailing fields and the owner of the store , Jo - Liz Conway , has asked Karla to come up with some ideas for improving the business and to submit a written report within a month .
