One Tableau Packaged Workbook $(.$twbx$)$ file.

IMPORTANT: the file must have a $.$twbx extension. Do not submit a $.$twb file.

Download Superstore.xls$,$ open the file using Ms Excel, and inspect the data.

Open Tableau and connect to the dataset file. The data file has a $.$xls extension, therefore you must select $$Excel file$.$ Drag each of the three sheets to the $$Drag tables here$$ area, creating the correct relationships between each pair.

Click on the tab $$Sheet $1.$ Create the following hierarchical attributes following the hierarchy below:

Category $>$ Sub$-$Category $>$ Product Name $>$ Product ID

Region $>$ State $>$ City $>$ Postal Code

On 'Sheet $1\text{'},$ let$$s create a chart that shows a sales and profit timeline.

Click on the Order Date attribute and drag it to the 'Columns' shelf.

Drag attribute Profit to the $$Rows$$ shelf.

On the pill corresponding to Order Date, you will see YEAR. Click on the little triangle on the right side of the pill, and select 'Month May $2015\text{'}.$

Drag Category to the filters area. Click 'All' and then OK$.$ Click on the respective pill and select 'Show filter'. Do the same for SubCategory;

Hover your mouse over the line of the chart. It shows the month and profit for each date. Drag Orders $($Count$),$ Sales, and Quantity to the 'Tooltip' mark. Hover your mouse over the line of the chart again to see what changed.

Give a proper title to the visualization $($double click on the title$).$

Create a new sheet. We are now going to analyze the salespeople performance.

Drag the attributes Person and Region from table People to the $$Rows$$ shelf.

Drag Sales to the 'Columns' shelf.

Drag Category to the Color mark. Hover your mouse over the bars to see the result.

Drag Sub$-$Category to the Detail mark. Hover your mouse over the bars to see the result.

Add Orders $($Count$)$ to the Tooltip mark. Hover your mouse over the bars to see the result.

Give a proper title to the visualization $($double click on the title$).$

Click on 'New Worksheet'. We are now going to create a geographical chart.

Drag $$State$$ to the center of the visualization window; A map of North America should be generated.

We want to color each state based on the total number of orders placed by customers in that state. How do we do that?

Drag Category to the filters area. Click 'All' and then OK$.$ Click on the respective pill and select 'Show filter'. Do the same for $$Region$.$

Add State to the Label mark.

Drag Profit, Sales, and Quantity to the 'Tooltip' mark. to the Tooltip mark. Hover your mouse over the bars to see the result.

Give a proper title to the visualization $($double click on the title$).$

Click on 'New Dashboard'. We are now going to create a dashboard that uses the three visualizations above. Follow the steps shown in the video on Tableau dashboards. Do not forget to name the dashboard.

Save the file as Tableau Packaged Workbook tbwx and submit it$.$
