What to write overall comments for I continue to talk about our unit per hour daily and weekly in our huddle meeting. So the team know where we at and how can we improve as a team. By monitoring weekly DLX Observation, Gap report, Empty pallet drop off. Mile Per Hour report and daily LTO audit, it let us know what we need to improve and hold everyone accountable for their unacceptable actions. With us having weekly meetings with all the operation management team to go over our KPI sheet, it shows us what we need to work on and where we at on our budget. These past few months we had kaizen event for case oversize and empty pallet drop off and came up with the new SOP for the team, this helps us with cost saving. I continue to seek an opportunity to develop action plan with the team to meet our walltowall goals and continue to strike my best to help the company. Last month I was trained in Shipping department and looking for an opportunity that we can improve in this department.
I continue to participate as much as possible in our daily safety blitz every day that Im here. I try to attend Safety Committee meeting monthly if I have an opportunity. Every time when we have a stand down meeting, I continue to make sure all the information were translated in Karen, Burmese and Spanish languages. I continue to talk about near miss in our daily huddle meeting with the team and make sure it translated in Karen, Burmese and Spanish languages. If it's needed, I also do a whiteboarding with the team to come up with different solutions how to prevent the accident or incident for the future. I continue to do my daily des coach and address the safety issues with my team members. Most of the team members in our department are trained on GMP By doing weekly safety walk through, daily audit for our sanitation porters, and weekly Gleason, it keeps our building clean, and we can address some of the areas that need extra cleaning.
I continue to talk to our lift truck operators and case selectors about the right process of counting down the pick slots and reserve slots. The inventory adjustment team sent me an email of people that count down the slots daily and I talked to the one that on our team. I also continue to do audit the auditor three times a week and continue to do LTO audit daily as well. Im also making sure that the weight audit is getting done daily for our shipping team. I also talk to everyone that attend our daily huddle meeting about products damaged can hurt our budget. And I continue to talk to them about picking up cases on the floor and put them back in the right location to reduce our Inventory adjustment.
I continue to talk our Case PickLTO associates about their weekly performance rate and ask them how's their day going? And if they have any questions, I try to answer them as best as my knowledge. But if I didn't know the answer, I follow up with them later. By doing this, it makes them feel like their leadership team is cared about them. So they want to stay work here longer. I also continue to do stay interview and PED with them weekly. On PED meeting with my associates, one of the questions was How can we retain more people here? When I asked them this question, some of them gave me great ideas. This PED process gave us more connection with our associates and open bridge for leadership team and associates to communicate one on one and explained things that aren't cleared for the associates that didn't fully understand our business goals. I continue to translate all annual associate insight survey questions in Karen and helped them understand why we have to do survey and how important to participate for the survey. I am currently mentoring Omar Thiha to be our next back up supervisor. He's finally full trained as a backup Bus driver now. My next goal will be training him to learn some of the supervisor job functions.
