What would be a good response to this class post? Task demands refer to tasks that an employee is required to perform such as meeting deadlines and solving problems. Interpersonal tasks are part of the social aspects such as conflict resolution and building relationships with others. I believe that workplace stress is skyrocketing due to higher demand for better customer service. Everything an employee does is watched to the tee by customers, clients, and employers. Anything done not to their liking and the employee is on the verge of getting disciplined. I do think that this trend will continue as the new generation that rises feels entitled to oxygen itself. Anything that is said has to be filtered due to sensitivity to everything. I have seen this play out in the clinic I work in. We had a patient come in and the day at the front desk knew that the patient was going through a hard time due to the loss of a family member. The front desk lady attempted to light and tell a joke.
