What would be a good response to this post? In my opinion Matrix management is not a good strategy. It puts me in the mind of the game I played when I first started working my current job. The game is where you tell one person something and they whisper in the ear to to the next person down the line. By the time it gets to the last person its something completely different. Reporting to one manager is enough in my role. What we discuss is documented, opportunities, goals, and concerns. A spread sheet is created a long with 1-2 month follow up. This way things are consistent and we are able to catch up on previous things we discussed. I do not see things flowing this easily with matrix management
