When graphing sec and csc, I came upon a problem that made me confused? The problems I was seeing usually had the x go first in the parenthesis then the pi, like this (x+pi) or (x-pi). I know that (x+pi) shifts to the left once by pi, and (x-pi) shifts to the right once by pi. The problem that I saw was y=csc(pi-x), and wondered why the two switched places, and how this affected the graph. Looked a bit into it, still unsure; but can someone provide a response on why and how, this changes the way it shifts on the graph, and if the direction goes up or down? Provide multiple examples of problems, to help explain your answer, which would be of help.
