When I first started NSG 3050, I didn't feel confident in applying research to my nursing practice. I knew evidence-based care was important, but I wasn't sure how to bridge the gap between reading the research and actually using it to make changes for my patients. Since then, I've grown so much in this area.

One assignment that really helped me build this skill is my current capstone project. It has pushed me to dig into the research, evaluate what worked, and put together a realistic plan for change. This experience has given me a lot more confidence in using scholarly literature in my everyday practice.

The philosophy of nursing I developed in NSG 3050 centers around holistic care, advocacy, and continuous learning. I see each patient as a whole personbody, mind, and spiritand believe strongly in listening, being present, and creating space for autonomy and dignity. This philosophy keeps me grounded and reminds me that healing isn't just about tasksit's about connection and compassion.

As I continue growing into my BSN role, I now view myself as more than just a bedside nurse. I've come to see how the BSN prepares us to lead, advocate, and think critically at a higher level. Like Anbari (2015) pointed out, BSN-prepared nurses are linked to better outcomes, and I can feel that shift in how I practice and how I show up for my patients and team.
