Question: When setting up the criteria for question 1 and finding the T crit, how do I know which proportion to look under on the table?

When setting up the criteria for question 1 and finding the T crit, how do I know which proportion to look under on the table? For example: the df was found to be 29, and from there you would look to the table for answers. How would I know if I should look under 0.50, 0.20, 0.10, etc? For reference the mean scores are 35 and 40, in that order, and the standard error is 10. The alpha is 0.05. Looking for help on question 1b.
