When tracking a project, a project plan is a great way to see what needs to be done in every area and also the progress that is being made. These plans such as a Gantt chart, helps project managers see an overview of the project broken down into tasks and milestones that need to be met. They can also input who they assign to do the task. Ways to effectively track a project would be to create an outline with a timeline, establish milestones/goals, check in regularly, ask if you need help, and establish deadlines (Swiatek et al., 2016).
As a project manager, issues I would focus on would be communication between employees, having goals/milestones that are clear, budgeting, and resources. Not having effective communication can break a project. A project that has no clear goals will have a hard time getting a timeline and deadline set. Regular check-ins help all who are involved get any help that they may need and make sure that everyone is working on the project and will meet the deadline.
