When we infer things, we reach conclusions based on the use of evidence and reason. Not all of our inferences are correct, of course, but theytend tobe correct more often than not. Because it is frequently more difficult to find situations that are purely deductive, we tend to use inductive reasoning and inference much more often, even knowing that it can sometimes lead to incorrect conclusions.

Assess the evidence used in their reasoning to the conclusion. Does the evidence lead you to a different conclusion? If so, why? If not, what evidence would lead you to a different inference?

I recently had an inference with my car keys! Every day when I come home, I walk through the door and go directly to the alarm and turn it off and I have a ceramic dish where I leave my keys and I always hear the clink of the keys hitting the dish. I went about my day but then I needed to go to the store so I got ready went to turn on the alarm and there were no keys! I looked everywhere in the house my purse and I couldn't find them I blamed my kids moving them and I even said "so what a ghost came and took the keys" it took about 30 mins to find my keys and my friend had taken them out the dish to get something out the car and she didn't even remember she haddone that.
