Participation in the discussion forums is central in developing an understanding of the course content and in forming a "learning community" with the other students in the course. Unit Forums: There are a total of four (4) Unit forums that account for 10% of your course grade. You are required to participate in all of these forums. The discussions in the Unit forums are intended to act as a means to build a learning community, as well as to share ideas and clarify your understanding of the course content. In each of the required Unit forums that you participate in (Week 1 Forum plus all other) in order to receive full marks, you must make your own posts and respond to two other students' posts. These postings should consist of a substantive introductory posting (150-250 words) and two substantive replies to the postings of others (a minimum of 150 words). Your substantive postings should provide a thoughtful reflection on at least one aspect of the question posed. Note: "Good perspective, Sonia!" is not a substantive posting.
