While the free enterprise capitalist economic system often presents a conflict of interests between labor and management, to what extent does the collective bargaining process in the private sector with its reliance upon the use of economic weapons, i.e. strike, lockout, boycott, picketing, as well as the influence of public opinion and the media (print and electronic), help to ensure an apppropriate equilibrium between the parties ?
