While there are no mandatory prerequisites for the CompTIA CySA certification, CompTIA recommends having at least three to four years of hands-on experience in information security or related fields. CompTIA also recommends having CompTIA's Network and Security certifications or equivalent knowledge before taking the CySA exam. The CySA certification is intended to follow CompTIA Security or have 3-4 years of hands-on information security experience. The passing score for the exam is 750 on a scale of 100-900. The exam has four domains, each of which includes up to five exam objectives.
