With the specific social problem from Assignment 1, students are expected to develop an action plan to address this problem. Students will use the Ellis (2003) book as a guideline for developing an action plan. At minimum, students must identify the current nature and impact of the problem, who the stakeholders are, how they will generate awareness of the problem, who they will contact/solicit aide from (e.g., government agencies, non-profit organizations, state/federal representatives), and how they would propose to overcome potential obstacles. Each student's paper is expected to be 7-10 pages in length and incorporate at least six sources from peer-reviewed human services related journals
