Won March $26,2024,$ at about $1$:$30$am$,$ the Francis Scott Key Bridge, a part of the

network of crossings in Baltimore Harbor, collapsed. The substructure of the bridge

includes the piers, abutments and piers. The superstructure of the bridge contains elements

above the substructure. The objective is for each semester project team to design a

replacement superstructure or substructure of the Francis Scott Key Bridge which would

minimize the impact of a vessel similar to the one that struck the bridge in March. At least three

alternatives prototypes and explain the process for choosing the final alternative.
