Students will need to collect data, mostly from secondary sources. Valid sources for obtaining such data may include: Secondary data from online articles and websites. These should be reliable and valid online data sources such as online journals, journal databases, e-books and Google Scholar. (Simple Google searches and Wikipedia are not considered appropriate for academic writing) The case study companys annual/quarterly reports, and sustainability reports. Related news articles or other media sources such as videos or podcasts (from reliable sources).

Structure and format of the report (Assessment 2) Introduction The introduction should include background to the report which introduces the topic you are researching, and its importance followed by the case study summary and then the implications. You should make sure to answer the following in the introduction: Overview of the topic and the case study (what are you covering?) Importance of this case (why is it important? What can we learn from it?) Information sources you used (how did you find the information?) Literature review Review the literature on the topic you are researching. Review of journal articles is preferred. Please make sure that your literature review reflects your understanding of ethical concepts for the purpose of applying them and the application of the concepts to the chosen case. Methods Describe the sources of data/information you collected and how they were collected (e.g., which keywords and phrases were used, how many results were found, which ones you used and why). You can collect data using reliable secondary sources such as journals or journal databases from APIC Library such as ProQuest, EBSCO and SAGE. A list of recommended resources is also available in your Unit Guide. Google Scholar may also be used, as well as reliable online journals and company websites. Structure and format the case study findings and analysis Provide a description of the organisation in the case study (1/2 page). Then critically evaluate the ethics and/or sustainability issue in the light of the literature. Make sure to apply theory and concepts from the chosen topic as discussed in the class and the prescribed textbook when evaluating the issue. Discuss the recommendations based on your own research for example you may look at what another company did in a similar situation or what an ethics association recommends should be done. Make sure that your evaluation reflects the theoretical concepts underpinning the discipline of business ethics including the appropriate philosophical arguments. Your recommendations should be based on your own ideas and understanding, supported by sound evidence from research. Conclusion You need to discuss your findings and how the findings can be helpful for the business and what are the risks for implementing your recommendations. You should also discuss if there are any limitations of the study. Conclusion opens with a summary of the report and then considers the consequences of the suggestions. No new material or citations should be introduced in this section. Appendices (optional) Your appendices may contain, for example, detailed tables and graphs, or photographs that support the case issues.
