Working with your financial statement analysis project group, you should evaluate and compare the financial positions of Denton, TX, Midland, TX, and Beaumont, TX. You should provide a thorough analysis of each city and a comparison across the three cities. You should use the annual comprehensive financial report (ACFR) and budgets for each city. You should also examine various demographics, rankings, economics, etc. Additionally, your project should address the transparency of each governmental unit.

Specifically, your group should submit a report with a section for the financial analysis and general discussion of each city and a section comparing the cities. Use your data analysis tools to provide visualizations, tables, etc. to convey your analysis. You should identify which city is in the best financial position and identify the factors that formed the basis of your conclusion.

Some items to consider: What are the priorities of each city based on their budget? What are the strengths and weaknesses of each city? Are there changing economic or demographic characteristics? What are the bond ratings? Be sure to include ratio analysis (see chapter 10). Where/how do they generate their revenues? What types of taxes/rates do they impose?
