Buddhism is a great religion, it is certainly an amazing way to relieve yourself from all the pain and suffering that life certainly will make you feel, the Buddhist doctrine of anatta states that humans do not have a soul, and nothing is permanent, which seems interesting to me, and after reading the e-text and watched the video, I certainly agree with it, we are not permanent, in any sense, everything in our lives change, and even with all the efforts, it is impossible to predict or change our path, the non-existence of a soul or permanent identity, is a great idea to understand that in life nothing is personal, everybody has a different personality and perception of reality, everything change, even what we consider as ourselves, we are not the same person we were last year and is incredible how much we can change in just a month. This means that if there was a soul, it could not be permanent, it would also be changing constantly.
