An organization needs to maintain a balance between risk and opportunities because each person has a different tolerance for risks. According to Schwalbe (2017) figure 11-2, three types of risks showed: risk-averse, risk-neutral, and risk-seeking. The y-axis represents the utility in the figure, meaning the amount of satisfaction received from taking risks. The X-axis represents the potential payoff or opportunity. I would say that I am a risk-seeking person, where the payoff on stake increases; therefore, more pleasure is received. A risk-seeking person is used to seeking risks with a high tolerance capacity. Being risk-seeking can be beneficial by not taking risks while working. Taking risks is an advantage and necessary for pleasure and satisfaction.

I work for a risk-averse healthcare company because, in our projects, not too much money is being put ask risk. As a result, they are disinclined or reluctant to take risks. They are generally not risks takers for projects, only small risks that can damage the ability to produce the best returns over time.
