Underline the Principle when you use it. 2. The 5 Characteristics of Competent Communicators: Explain a situation for each one when you were or were not competent when communicating with someone in the past. Underline the Characteristic when you use it. 3. The 4 steps in Changing Your Self-Concept: Explain how you would/will use each step to change your self-concept in the future. Underline the Step when you use it. 4. 3 Elements of Perception Checking: Write about situations in the past where you may have misinterpreted a situation based on misunderstanding it and/or perceiving it incorrectly.
