Write a mixed-methods research Question: Rationale: How do the independent variables affect the characteristics that determine what a FTIC student is? Collecting both quantitative data, and qualitative data ensures the stakeholders are heard and differing viewpoints are addressed. Qualitative data will help me understand the characteristics of a first time in college student, and quantitative data provides ways to explore what stresses these students face that enhance or are detrimental to success. By collecting both kinds of data and combining the databases, I strive to uncover underlying similarities that target an effective strategy to meet student success
