This focused assessment is likely geared toward a neurological assessment due to headache symptoms stated by the patient. Neurological assessments differ from full physical assessments and a nurse's ability to adequately assess neurological characteristics can impact the patient outcomes, (Ibrahim et al., 2025). Neurological assessment are often minute changes in the patient's status and require a keen eye to detect. Due to this patient's complaint of a headache, neurological, constitutional and HEENT assessments would be the most important systems to review first, though a thorough APRN would ultimately want to do a full ROS.
