Rintin had 5 years of experience processing warranty claims for hi-tech electronic photo albums called Wall Frame prior to coming to work for Your Company. Lately Rintins performance at Your Company has suffered, and the decline in performance had begun affecting other employees. Rintins productivity is below company standards. Statistics are kept measuring warranty claims processed per day.

These reports have been filed with the HR department

• Poor tone of voice when speaking to other employees
• Constantly asking similar software program questions, over and over
• Was overheard saying why is my computer slower than yours, and I dont seem to have those options
• Rintin has been irritable with co-workers, complaining and sharing private wage and bonus information during breaks
• Several employees have asked to have workspaces moved or modified after their interactions with Rintin in the office

Observations and Background

• Rintin seems listless at work, uninterested and unmotivated
• Completed work on simpler claims is done to perfection
• Rintin seems willing and able to learn the new warranty software but cannot always attend the training sessions because of personal time constraints
• This has been an on-going problem from day one
• At his prior job, Rintin was an extemporary, model employee and had been, at one time, considered for a managerial position
