Internal stakeholders are people who have an interest in the company through something like employment or ownership while external stakeholders are people who do not work for the company but are affected the actions such as suppliers or customers (Fernando, 2024). Two internal stakeholders that would be affected by the decision to make changes to the pressure injury prevention protocol would be nurses and doctors. Doctors would now be required to order more or different orders then they typically do and nurses are now required to carry out those different orders. Two external stakeholders that would be impacted by the changes would be patients and suppliers. The suppliers would need to ensure that we have the proper equipment needed for the changes and the patients would be the ones having the changes done to them hopefully resulting in less HAPIs. One strength that I have that I think will allow me to be able to secure what I need from the stakeholders is that I care. I want to see better change for the patients and that is why I do what I do. This care will allow me to develop a rapport with them and that can make them feel that I care about them and their interest more then just a buyer (How to Sell Anything: 10 Methods for Sales Success, 2024).
