Since last November I started just doing the lights for opulence and just like really fell in love with the art of drag and got really into it so like started having people help me figure out how to do makeup and like got pretty good and self-sufficient and so it developed no drag persona OK and her name is D jay bad bones
OK what message do you hope the audience takes away tonight?
Personally I hope that people come and I hope there's a few people here who it's like their first drag show cause I you know my first drag show was the one I did lights for last November and it really it changed my life in many ways and I think something that I think people should take away from this group in particular is that there's so much more to drag than meets the eye from like just like a broader you know like mainstream cultural perspective I think a lot of people associate drag race with the stereotypes
Joe Bellehomeu (event Specialist) since last november been doing the lights, then
Today at the drag show my piece will be
peice/holiday
Buddhist holiday
Buddha day dec 9
Violet Ending
I want the audience to have fun and be silly. I don't do drag in a traditional kind of way most of my acts are either creepy or really weird and that's kind of what I'm hoping people get. I think gender and drag should just be fun it's not the same thing every time
so how do you incorporate like the theme performance or your outfit tonight ?
so I am doing a performance about like Krampus
I just love doing like the bizarre and freaky makeup. to dress as a complete and utter weirdo and not worry about like being appropriate is nice
Perfomed to the song "Krampus" by Coral Bells with a black outfit with chains, horns, and a tree branch
Dooble Denimtration

drag is an art form and it's definitely for everybody and people try to fit it into a lot of stereotypes and like specific aesthetics that are not real. when you think of drag Queens like those super expensive custom gowns that's not what most drag looks like. we are a very hodgepodge group of people who still put on a great show, really anybody can do it and you should definitely come join us
Getting ready is always kind of stressful especially when you're kind of throwing together a look because you did not plan as well as you should have for your first number and you planned very heavily for your second number. performing for me specifically is the most freeing thing in the world. I do not consider who I am when I'm performing. Myself on the day-to-day on the street it's like a totally different personality and it's just it's so much fun to be able to throw everything that happened in the day away and just be like I am here, this is me, tip me, yell at me scream for me, I love being the center of attention right now
I love old vintage Christmas, specifically I love the 70s aesthetic , I love all of that very heavily inspired my outfit tonight the big open collar .
White open color dress shirt and green blazer for the outfit with a santa hat. peformed to the song "Last Christmas" by Wham!
