Reply this discussion: What scares me the most about presenting in front of the class is two things: all eyes being on me and forgetting what I want to say. I consider myself a very shy person and having all that attention on me is scary and intimidating. I know myself and when that is the case I loose my train of thought because all I can focus on is trying not to focus on all eyes being on me. Forgetting what I'm saying or going blank while giving a presentation is embarrassing and so that is scary. I think that's what it is just looking silly and unprepared or like i don't know what i am talking about. My voice will quiver, my leg shakes, I start sweating, and I get too self conscious. What I try to do is not memorize any specific thing I want to say. I more often than not, think of points. That way if I do lose my train of though there's no specific script i'm following and I allow myself to be flexible with it. Another thing is I try to take pressure off of myself. I think that everyone else is also nervous about their turn and that helps.
