Sophia was born in Morocco and has completed her high school from Les Oranges Lyce which is in Rabat Morocco. Sophia is married and currently pregnant with a baby boy. She moved from Morocco in 2010 with her family. Sophia works for Seattle Public Schools as a teacher assistant with children with disabilities, and she has been holding the position for the past six years. She started attending North Seattle College in 2015 but had no idea what path to take. So, she persuaded nursing program and completed the first step which was CNA certificate, and that took her a little over a year to complete. She started working with her certificate for only 5 months and decided thats not what she wanted to do. Shortly after that she began working for SPS and took a long break from school. Her carrier idea changed after she met her husband who is a project manager with a tech company called medstreeming. She started being curious about the position especially that her husband was teaching her about it very often. Sophia decided to go back to school to get her bachelors degree in business which will help her in becoming what she wants. College advisors helped her a lot to put an education plan together and go from there. It wasnt easy for Sophia to go to school full time and work full time, but she will graduate in couple of months and have her baby in the same week. Her plan is to get a PM certificate to help her boost her chances to get a job since she has no experience in the field.
