Subject: Implementation of Noise Reduction Measures for Rock Drill Cylinder Mufflers

As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe and compliant work environment, we are implementing changes to reduce the noise levels generated by the rock drill cylinder mufflers to improve overall efficiency. The goal is to adhere to the $2024$ noise milestone requirement of maintaining noise levels below $104$db$.$

The scope of this project includes the following key aspects:

$1.$ Purchase of New Rock Drill Mufflers: We will be acquiring new version $2$ cylinder mufflers to replace the existing ones in order to effectively reduce the noise levels emitted during operations.

$2.$ Conversion of Version $1$ Cylinder Mufflers to Version $2$: Existing version $1$ cylinder mufflers will be converted to version $2$ mufflers through a systematic process to ensure the desired noise reduction targets are met.

$3.$ Rechroming and Machining of the Cylinder: Necessary rechroming and machining activities will be carried out to enhance the functionality of the cylinder mufflers and optimize noise reduction capabilities.

$4.$ Acquisition of Additional Parts: In certain cases, additional parts will need to be purchased to complement the conversion process and guarantee that the rock drill noise levels remain below the required $104$db threshold.
