You are an engineering consultant for a new development of non flow process of pressure vessel project, which is to be developed in your company. Your task is to evaluate the design proposal for development the presure vessel to heat up dairy product at an Ultra High Temperature (UHT) within 3 to 5 seconds. If the vessel of 0.3 m2 capacity contains air at pressure 0.7 bar and temperature 75 oC. Hence, (i). estimate the mass of water to be injected, so that the vessel is filled with saturated vapour only. (ii). If the injection continues until a total mass of 0.7 kg of water is introduced, determine the new total pressure in the vessel. (iii). Then the vessel is then heated until all the water in it evaporates, determine the total pressure for this condition and the heat supplied.
