You are called on to design a new network layout & topology for a medium-sized business as it moves into a new building. You must address all necessary components from internet uplink(s) through to endpoint connections, including any connectivity devices in between. Configuration, such as for IP addressing & security, must be considered in addition to physical components. The three-floor building houses a server room and workspaces for 200 staff. The sever room contains servers which are externally accessible (eg, web, mail, dns) and servers which support internal functions (eg, active directory, file storage). The staff are divided up into management, support, development, HR, finance, and sales groups. Several lab spaces and small meeting rooms are also present. Including a logical network diagram to illustrate your plan may be helpful.
