You are expected to prepare a $20-$page paper that will link some of the

material in the course to an organization with which you are familiar. This may be

an organization in which you either are or were a member. It may be either a

for$-$profit or a non$-$profit organization. It does not have to be of any particular

size in terms of resources or number of members.

The Organizational Analysis paper must:

Describe the organization$--$for example: What is the history of the organization?

What is the mission or purpose of the organization? What are its primary goals?

What is the organizational structure? What are the outputs? Who are the

customers or clients?

Define dimensions, aspects, or components of the organization that are

particularly effective or ineffective.

Describe how a minimum of four theories$/$models from the class could be

applied to those dimensions to explain: a$)$ why a dimension is particularly

effective, or b$)$ how an ineffective dimension of the organization might be

improved by the proper application of a theory$/$model$.$

The overall purpose of the Organizational Analysis paper is to prompt you to

explain how what you will have learned in MGMT $6002$ has real applicability to

the performance needs of an individual, a work unit, or an entire organization.
