You are managing a medium size engineering company providing electrical maintenance and repair services in Shah Alam where 1,000,000 people live. Business is comfortable and you have a technical 30 engineering staff to assist you the in the business. They have been with you since the day you were struggling to set up the business. They work well as a team but recently the following problems have arisen to your Electrical Supervisor, Encik Mustafa. When Encik Mustafa joined the company after leaving school five years go, he was a diligent and careful worker who rose from a Junior Technician to be become the person in charge of electrical maintenance and repair department. Now, out of the blue, he wants to do his Diploma in Electrical Engineering and registered himself as an Off-campus student at UiTM Shah Alam by attending night classes. As a result, he has to leave the office at 5.00 pm and that means he has to reject any overtime for emergency repair and maintenance as requested by your regular customers from time to time. To make the matter worse, he is always late to work and cannot concentrate on his work any more due to exhaustion from the night classes. Encik Mustafa has changed. Previously, he just to be a jovial worker, but now he is more serious and several times you have seen reading engineering textbooks during the lunch break. When you asked him why the sudden interest in studying, he replied, "I cannot go all my life with a SPM certificate only". Questions: 1.
