you are managing two separate divisions group

1: is responsible for electricity production group

2: is responsible for maintenance on the electrical equipment each group is supervised on a day-to-day basis by the team lead.

at your weekly touch base meetings both supervisors are complaining that they could use reg resources (an extra employee) to meet the workload of the division. specifically the electricity production division says they would like to have more employees at they can work on innovating the electricity grid to improve stability and reduce power outages. the maintenance division says if they had an additional employee they could do more preventative maintenance to improve stability and reduce power outages quite frankly, you are tired of the complaining. you have a little budget that you could reallocate if only you better understood which area was a grotty. you i that maybe if you could turn this into an action item for them that one of the groups will make such a compelling argument that the decision will be easy for yod write one email to these two team leads that explains the type of information you want them to pull together, the form that you want it in, and how you will be making your decision.
