You are required to develop a resource proposal for the purchase or lease of a vehicle for the sales department as per the procurement policy and procedure. The resource proposal must be written to the Worlducation CFO and include the following information: a. Clearly state the resource required b. How the resource will be used c. Project 3: sales staff will conduct the school visits

We will not need to hire new staff members to conduct the school visits. This task will be

done by our current sales team members. We are going to launch the school visits on

schools who are within a 200km radius of the Sydney branch.

Most they should be spending on the lease of the car is $40,000. This amount includes all

initial and ongoing costs.

Sales staff will also need to take promotional brochures with them to the schools to hand

out to students, teachers and parents. The marketing department will provide you with the

brochures. They developed the brochures already for another campaign. We can use the

same ones for this project. You will need to have them printed which will cost roughly

$1,500 for 5000 brochures.

Project 3: Organise school visits

A new Worlducation vehicle will be needed so that sales staff can travel to the different

schools within a 200km radius. The sales department dont have a vehicle that they can use

for this purpose. Majority of sales staff do not have their own cars as they live in the city.

The new car should be leased through one of the preferred car lease suppliers used by

Worlducation. The preferred suppliers are:

o Prestige Leasing Australia

o United Car Leasing

o Stevens Commercial Leasing

The vehicle must meet the following specifications:

o Minimum of 5 seats

o Fuel efficient rating

o Safety features e.g. dual airbags

o Max lease period of 2 years

Project 3: Organise school visits

Wristband gifts for students and staff are required for the school visits. The wristbands

should be made of silicone. They must be dark blue with white writing that says

WORLDUCATION Striving for a world without illiteracy. Custom Silicone Wristbands is our preferred supplier for the wristbands. We have used them before and were very happy with their products and customer service. We should start by purchasing 5000 wristbands and if

they are received well by the students and teachers. We can order more as needed. We really

need to secure the wristbands for maximum $0.29 each to remain within the budget.

The sales team members conducting the school visits will require a laptop computer, a tablet

and a demonstration account for the new Cloud-based system.
