You are working as a Project Manager for a renowned Software House in Karachi. Your software house was established two years ago and has expertise developing software for Financial organizations and Applications related to Health Care and Education Sector. At one point of time, there come four (4) customers (A, B, C, & D) with different projects. Since you have limited resources, you can only undertake two (2) project at this time. Company A is a local campus of an International University and wants to develop a Learning Management System, Company B is an international Clothing brand wants to develop a Sales & Distribution System, Company C is a private hospital that wants to develop Health Information System and Company & Company D is a Bank wanting to revamping their existing website including a mobile application and the duration of their project is of 6 months.

Q) Company C is a private Hospital and its running its operations manually. Since the number of patients have been increased in the last six months, it is almost impossible for the Staff to do work manually. The Management of the Hospital decided to go for deploying a complete Hospital Management System (HMIS) ERP Application. They have allocated a budget of PKR 30 Million. The timelines for completion of project is 8 months. This scope not only includes the implementation and deployment of HMIS, but it also includes procurement of 50 Desktop computers, construction of a Server Room, Complete End to End Networking and purchasing of Two (2) Server Machines including UPS. The Modules that the hospital is looking for its HMIS includes In-Patient, Out-Patient, Laboratory Management, Emergency, Accounts and Finance, Stores and Inventory, to start with.

The Management had selected you as the Project Manager for this project and asked you to develop a Project Charter for this project and carry out all the activities. You are therefore required to develop a Project Charter for this project.
