You need to install drop nipples, using threaded pipe and $1"\frac{1}{2}"$ threaded reducers, to $\frac{1}{2}"$ pendent sprinklers. The sprinkler deflector needs to be located $8"$ below the finished ceiling. The pendent sprinkler measures $2"$ from the end of the thread to the deflector. The end of the pipe needs to be below the finished ceiling.
