I watched a live presentation for my class, LEAD 570, with Annette Uncangco, the Training Manager for DeVry University. The Title of the presentation was Discover Your Strengths using the assessment from Gallup, CliftonStrengths Top 5.

Here are my Top5 . I may not agree completely about the assessments but they help you grow.

Everyone's findings are unique to just you, as there is a 1-275,000 chance that they may be similar, and 1- 33 million chances that you would have the same exact findings.

Everyone has Talents and strengths. If we build on our natural Talents, we can turn these into our new Strengths.

We were asked to select one from our list that you feel is your strongest and mine was Discipline, Talent -Knowledge-Skills = strength.

We move on to the area of how to create your strengths (Name IT ) , understand individual talents (CLAIM IT), set clear connections (AIM IT), strategize, analyze, and direct your actions and behaviors.

Using these newfound Strengths, we need to think about how and what we will you do next and how we will incorporate this into our daily lives.

This was a very valuable presentation. It helped us develop and utilize our natural Talents and build these into our strengths.

As we were finishing out, our presenter Annette, focused on the area within the University site, where we as students can find and utilize many unique and fascinating free services that her team has available to us.
