You should select a project from the book or pick one in your preferred industry $($IT$,$ Health, Construction, Sustainability, Governement and so on$.)$ If you pick one from the book please list it in the water cooler to avoid duplication. Please pick a project that includes medium to high complexity ex: a global implementation. You will use your project for future assignments so be cautious to select a project which interests you. Remember if you actually have a business project upcoming, you can gain valuable insight by doing some of the work in our course. Do not use a project already in full progress, already completed, or a repetitive project such as rollouts to a new location or department.

The project must be business or professional in nature. Do not use career, education, personal, family, etc. situations. Remember it must follow the characteristics of a project as defined and be challenging.

Complete the assignment via MS Word using a template which includes ALL elements of a project charter. See PMBOK for more details. Also,

Although you are using a template, attach the last page as a citations page following APA citation standards. You do not have to cite anything within the template you are completing.

This assignment is a worthwhile and helpful to understanding a project.

W$1$ Assignment$-$Complete a proposal$/$charter document for a project of your choice. Include the project scope. The project may be one from the student's workplace, or another project developed specifically for this requirement, which the student will plan to complete during the course. The proposal will include a description of the intended project and business strategies$/$requirements it will support. The proposal will also address proposed budgets, resource requirements, high level timelines, and other important elements. Please research the internet for project charter templates.
