Remember that the goal of the final project is not just to make a website. The goal of the final project is to make a Content Management System that will dynamically *build* the website for you, and let you manage it in an easy and convenient way. Obviously, you need to think about the end product - the website - to decide what project you wish to pursue. Will it be a catalog or a journal or a knowledge base? But don't let that final vision distract you from understanding that the project isn't the final website, it is the Content Management System that builds the final website.

Develop a main response in which you address the following:

• Does any aspect of your work involve data management or presentation, which might serve as a model for your project? Alternatively, do you have any hobbies or other interests which might benefit from a website?
• Think outside the box here, and really give some thought to topics that interest to you, even if they aren't "traditional" website material. A farm might use a CMS to manage livestock or even advertise breed stock on the internet, while a collector of dolls might build a catalog for the collection for use as an "album" or for insurance purposes, or a history buff might want to start an online newsletter or journal for fellow enthusiasts.
• Each of you should submit to this discussion thread at least two (or more, if desired) possible ideas for a CMS you would be interested in developing. For each possibility, please list your first impressions for what aspects of the project will meet the requirements for each of the three sub-systems: content entry, management and presentation.
