c. Describe two disadvantages of this form of business ownership

d. Describe the difference between a general partnership and a limited partnership. Assuming that Bill and Dave were the only two partners, indicate how their partnership should be classified.

3. In 1939, Bill and Dave changed their form of business ownership from a partnership to a corporation under the name Hewlett-Packard. Characterize this form of business ownership by addressing the following:

a. Define this form of business ownership.

b.Describe two advantages of this form of business ownership.

c. Describe two disadvantages of this form of business ownership.

d. Is Hewlett-Packard currently a C-Corporation or an S-Corporation? Explain your answer.

e. HP entered into a joint venture with another business in 1963. Define this type of business arrangement and describe one advantage and one disadvantage of this type of arrangement.

f. Define the type of merger, which occurred between HP and Compaq in 2002 (i.e. conglomerate, etc.). Using a search engine such as Google, determine if HP is still selling computers under the Compaq name. Provide a link to your source.
