Create a sales pitch to convince your parents to go wave riding.

1. Create a table with the following data:

• Each destination
• Miles to each destination from San Clemente: Use the map above to determine this.
• Estimate the cost to get to each destination - using the current cost of gas and the average miles per gallon of the car you drive (or your family) or based on the government rate of $0.53/mile.
• Hourly cost of rental; (determine how to work with the information that was provided above regarding rental costs of WaveRunners at each destination)
• Equation for calculating the cost that will be incurred for each destination, i.e., this includes the cost of gas for driving from San Clemente to each destination plus the cost of rentals of the WaveRunners at each destination.

2.Explain why h > 0 in this scenario.

3. Graph all the equations on the same graph. Graphs must be original. When graphing the linear models (equations),

• Label the axes with appropriate descriptions and scales.
• Identify the intersections, if they exist.
• Include at least three points for each model.
  • One must be the y-intercept (marked with an open circle)
  • All points must be within the domain (e.g., h > 0)
• Represent these points by either:
  • Creating a table showing coordinates
  • Plotting and labeling points directly on the graph

4. Choose a destination and type a persuasive paragraph using the information discovered.
