You will further research, read, and analyze, based on your own career interests, and write a reflection paper summarizing your learnings from the course with a focus on the application of course contents to your future business career. Typically, the strategic importance of innovation, the nature of innovation, innovation as a process, innovation and entrepreneurship, innovation and technology management are potential focus for this report. Students could also choose a more specific focus, based on their career interests (e.g., innovation in operations or accounting or HR). The general structure of the report is as follows: 1. An introductory section about the strategic importance of nurturing and managing innovation. 2. A literature review on the selected theme. 3. Based on the theme a student chooses a paragraph or two emphasizing how real businesses have implemented innovation related initiatives. 4. Also based on the theme of the paper, a summary of opportunities and challenges for businesses investing on innovation related initiatives. 5. A conclusion section (with your takeaway from the discussion). SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS To write this report you will need to cover at least the following: 1. There are no format requirements for the paper, but a businesslike report is expected (MS Word has multiple options for templates). Students must be consistent in employing a standard to cite their sources (e.g., APA, MLA, Harvard). 2. You must research at least 5 peer-reviewed articles. Exceptionally, highly regarded industry sources (e.g., McKinsey, PWC) will be accepted. 3. The length of the paper is not an issue, but it should not be longer than 10 pages
