You will have developed your basic data literacy and analysis skills in the pre-requisite Research Methods course. In this assignment, we allow you space to reflect on the ethics and implications of how we do several of the key steps in both conducting research and then presenting the findings and conclusions. You will also have a chance to go back to the 'big picture' of data literacy skills (reading, reporting and communicating data) to reflect on your own strengths now that you have completed two courses in research.

Assignment 4: Ethics Reflection #1 (10%; individual): 600w

You should use the DIEP model (Describe/Interpret/Evaluate/Plan) for this reflection.

In this reflection we are asking you to specifically examine your experience of creating "Sample Design and Data Collection Method" part (focus group research, survey) of the research materials your team used for your research and link that experience to at least one principle of conducting ethical research.

You should use at least 5 references of which 2 must be peer-reviewed articles/book chapters and the other 3 can be industry reports or other credible sources. Please do NOT use newspaper articles or blogs -- go to the original references they cite.

In this reflection, we are asking you to do a reflection on your own data literacy skills after taking those two courses and which elements you would like to develop further in the future to enhance your career and professional development. You should use the DIEP model (Describe/Interpret/Evaluate/Plan) for this reflection.
