company's success is due in part to their approach to information technology. You have been asked to investigate the BH subsidiary company of your choice from the Links to Berkshire Subsidiary Companies section of their

website. Next, explore the website of your selected business to become familiar with its products and/or services and then respond to the following questions:

1. Based on your general understanding of your selected BH subsidiary company and the knowledge gained from this module, characterize the elements of their information technology infrastructure by addressing the following:

a. Describe two types of computing equipment that could be utilized and include what area would be involved (e.g. sales, etc.), and what type of employee would be the user (e.g. manager, etc.).

b. Describe two types of software applications that could be utilized and include what function it would serve (eg. ordering), the area that would be involved (e.g. sales, etc.), and what type of employee would be the user.

c. Define how a local area network could be utilized and address how this would differ from a wide area network.

d. Assume that your selected company was interested in installing an enterprise portal. Describe the purpose of this type of system.
