Your estimate should include only the "slabs on grade" (e.g., the concrete floor siting on compacted gravel) and "foundations"-and not including the curbs, sidewalks, steps, or other concrete features. Assume the concrete for both the slabs and foundations will be the same concrete. Ignore the displacement of concrete from rebar (i.e., pretend the rebar doesn't take up any space). In some places, a 'minimum' required measurement is given. Use the minimum to estimate the quantity. Some measurements can be difficult to find. If you can't find a measurement, make an assumption based on other measurements you can-i.e., the footings detail drawings on page S3.1 showing (the reference numbers in circles align with different cross sections on page S3.0) do not have all the measurements. Use the other footing drawings to estimate and reference this assumption and simplification in your memo. Note: There are 27 cubic feet per cubic yard, 12 inches in a foot, and 3 feet in a yard
