Your first task is to select an appropriate engineering-based project on the theme of Eficiency and give reasons for your selection. At this point your proposed project must be approved, use document \# 1 (project proposal) provided in Canvas to set out your proposed project, which must be agreed and signed off by the Programme Leader or your tutor's IV. Once your project is agreed it cannot be changed or modified without written consent from your tutor. - create a project management plan; at this stage of the project use \#2 (planning spreadsheet) provided on Canvas. - demonstrate you have considered all aspects undertake a feasibility study to justify your project selection - illustrate the effect of legislation and ethics on the decision-making process in developing the project plan. Task 2: Having your project signed off as appropriate (LO1), you have now been asked to progress your project to meet criteria (LO2, LO3 and LO4). This 'project execution, report and presentation phase' requires you to take your project proposal through to its conclusion. - Investigate the methodology of conducting planned project activities and justify your choice. Go on to apply your selected methodology and conduct appropriate activities to manage the project. This should include work plan and time management, tracking of costs and timescales (include Gantt chart or similar). - From your exploration of alternative methods to monitor and meet project milestones, justify your chosen method, critically evaluate the success of your planning, consider recommendations and improvements.
