Summary: The Human Resources Assistant works on projects in different areas of human resources including but not limited to hr policies and programs, employee communication & engagement, training & onboarding, employer branding and corporate culture activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support for the Human Resources Manager

Provide administrative support for various human capital activities including total rewards, learning and development, recruitment and performance management

Set up interviews, conduct phone screens, complete reference checks and prepare job offers

Contribute to the ongoing management of the recruitment database; post jobs, update postings and job descriptions, and manage candidates through the applicant tracking system

Administer onboarding logistics

Serve as a link between management and team members by managing inquiries, employee relations and educating on self-service options

Support firm policies and guidelines as required

Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes

Skills and Experience

Proficiency in basic software such as Microsoft Office

Knowledge and Education:

Post-secondary education in human resource management

1 to 2 years of HR experience is considered an asset

Job Specifications:

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Ability to meet tight deadlines

Good customer service and interpersonal abilities

Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail

Good typing and data entry skills
