Your personal career action plandevelop a personal action plan that includes the following:

1) your personal branding statement--what do you want to be known for? On ONE sentence present the characteristics you want your colleagues to think of when they think of you. Briefly explain why these are important to you as a professional.

2) your plan for fulfilling your experiential requirement (relevant to all business majors who entered UAB in Fall 2015 or more recently. If you have already completed this requirement, let me know the activity you completed and what semester. If you are not a business student, let me know your major so that I know this requirement does not apply.

3) describe your plans for career development. Three questions your text outlines are important (Anderson and Bolt 2016, page 10):

• Why is your target career important to you?
• What resources are needed to achieve your career goal?
• How will you know you have achieved career success?

There is material in Chapters 1 that can help you with your personal branding statement as well as you plans for career development. Also, Chapters 13 & 16 could be beneficial as you consider your career development.
