Your task: Build user profile: decide who are the typical expected users of the application and handheid device, and what they will be doing with it. Questioner: Prepare a list of questions you think that need to be answered about how end-users do their jobs and what they would like in the application and device. Interview at least six users (2 shop owners/employee and 4 customers) around you about what they would like to see in the app and how they would like it to work. Try to identify people with different needs and preferences, preferable with respect to their attitudes about using the site. Look at existing similar applications and see how they handle similar tasks. Analysis and Scenario Development: First answer the standard task analysis questions and then focus more deeply on the tasks. Make a table showing user types, tasks, and guesses about relative frequencies of tasks. Try to understand the basic tasks that are currently supported within the company and via phone orders if it exist. Then decide which of the new tasks end-users may perform using the new interface. Make note which ideas you decided to drop based on your interviews. Create two scenarios, a moderate, and a difficult task Remember, a scenario is a step-by-step description of the actions a user might perform to solve a problem. These scenarios will be used to describe your interface design in the write-up described below. Interface Sketch: Given your analysis of the existing and new tasks, explain how the product ordering system will work. You should provide rough sketches showing at least three of the important screens of the application and two important screens of the handheld device. You should label them clearly to describe the elements in the sketch. Walkthrough at least one of the scenarios you developed and show how it can be handled by the interface. To Turn In: The assignment should be 5-8 pages of typewritten text (plus sketches). Include the following: 1. Brief overview of the app. 2.
