Your task is to prepare a report which will be delivered to the Board of Better Super providing your analysis of 3 competitor websites against research documenting the qualities of effective website copy. You are NOT required to draft copy for the Better Super website. That task is assignment 4. The purpose of this analysis is to learn from competitors and research what is required to draft effective website copy. Please note that the board is not interested in your opinions. Rather the board wants your comments to be supported by your research only. The messages that you are to review on competitor websites are: Vision statement (ie Is it compelling? Does it mean anything? Is it clearly articulated?) General information about the competitors (ie the About Us page), including their values. (Note: Amongst alternative methods to state values is the phrase what we stand for.) Why members of the general public need the offer of the competitors (ie what is their compelling reason for a member of the public to join them? Is the reason compelling? Is it effectively and suitably communicated?) Their views on First Nation Peoples, if any (is it effectively and suitably communicated?) Preferably, your assessment is supported by scholarly evidence, but blog articles are acceptable, however, they have less weight to support your argument and more corroborating references therefore are required (ie two corroborating blog articles equates to one scholarly article). Competitor analysis - Based upon the above research-based evidence, your analysis of at least three of the websites of Better Supers major competitors. Rather than comment on the design of the websites, per se, your objective is to comment on how effectively each website communicates its messages on the pages that you are to draft for Better Super in assignment 4 (refer above).
